- Can you tell us a little bit about yourself as
a fashion designer and your brand.
A: My brand started after the result of getting into selling customized
unique pieces in a London based shop, called Euphoria in Lancaster
road. After a long experience as a consultant for the most important
fashion industries, I needed to express myself without any limits,
to feel free to use the artisan and tailoring tools.
- Can you tell us a little bit about the new Autumn/Winter
2008-09, what were your initial concepts?
A: The Idea was that it could be worn everyday with the haute couture influences but
with an ironic approach.
- Regarding your S/S 2008 collection, can you tell us a little
bit about the detail.
A: Jersey plush dyed items with leather parts, devore' printing
on the knitwear. Natural fibers mix with thin woven synthetics.
The starting concept idea was little vagabonds running away from
home for an afternoon with patch covered clothing and a bundle over
their shoulder.
- What is the most important facet to pay attention
to in your designs?
A: The shade of colors and the aspects of the surfaces of the materials
all the details are inside like a soul, I believe that our client
could read the message.
- Do you have any favourite materials/fabrics and/or special techniques
you enjoy using?
A: I like to use transparent jersey and thin yarns giving unique
effects and unusual applications. I really enjoy creating knitwear.
- In the beginning, what actually made you get
into designing?
A: In the beginning was the necessity to communicate my way of
life and sensibility that means : my style to people like me.
- How would you describe your style?
A: Conceptual with emotion.
- What are your opinions on the current Europe
fashion scenes?
A: I'm focused to discover an alternative aestetic way to read
the style of young people through their pictures on the web.
- What is your favourite thing to do in dayoff?
A: I don't have television at home, so I spend my time talking
with friends, listening to music, reading about philosophers and comic stories
and travelling in any directions.
- If you have any good friends of fashion designers
in Europe, could you let us know the name of brand please?
A: The jewels brand Goti Goti
- What are your career plans, do you have any future goals?
A: I'm walking, maybe one day I'll find something.
- Do you have some words of wisdom for any young
designers and our readers?
A: Forget anything you have seen until now and try to create what
you like, be confident with yourself.
